I Know Of A People.

I know of a people in a special land,

who are bright, whity and grand.

They are clever, industrious, and inventive,

who are forward thinking, efficient and sensitive.

I know of a people who like playing stuff,

they are competitive, fun loving and tough.

They are serious, intuitive, and love conversation,

with much to talk about, and problems that cause consternation.

I know of a people in that special land,

you know them to, it's not so off-hand.

England is that special land, you know it's true,

In a land not far away

Children can be seen at play.

The towns and villages their playground

The fields and woods all around.

In a land not far away

A history long, old and not grey.

There lives a people much maligned

but are in fact great of mind.

In a land not far away

you know these people, in a way

You know the land that is true

Look in a mirror England, they are you.
